Foundations of Aesthetic Medicine
Delve into the world of Aesthetic Medicine with IIAM's comprehensive course.
Set your sights on the future of aesthetic medicine and delve into the rapidly growing realm of Cosmetic Neuromodulators and Hyaluronic Acid Fillers with IIAM's extensive training program.
Rooted in the heart of North America, where the surge in demand for these cosmetic procedures is undeniable, this course stands out as a beacon for medical professionals aiming to diversify their skill sets and tap into a potentially lucrative sector.
Designed for physicians, nurses, and nurse practitioners, the curriculum spans a total of 30 hours. Fifteen hours are dedicated to the pre-course material, providing a theoretical foundation essential for the hands-on sessions. The remaining 15 hours are intensely practical, ensuring participants are well-prepared to implement their skills in real-world scenarios.
Diving into the pre-course materials, you'll embark on self-paced virtual learning modules that comprehensively cover the mechanisms of action of neuromodulators and injectable fillers.
These modules will enable you to differentiate between the Health Canada approved cosmetic neuromodulators, understand their storage requirements, shelf life, and rate of onset, and become familiar with the contraindications and warnings associated with these products.
The two-day practical training is a deep dive into the core of aesthetic interventions.
On Day 1, you'll immerse yourself in Neuromodulator Injections. These include: frontalis, glabellar, orbicularis oculi, orbicularis oris, nasalis, mentalis, depressor anguli oris, LLSAN, masseter.
By the end of this session, participants will be equipped to identify specific facial muscles, landmark the face accurately, determine the correct unit range for each treatment area, and master the nuances of neuromodulator injection techniques.
Day 2 is an exhaustive exploration of Injectable HA Fillers, focusing on using needles for cheeks, lips, and chin. By the culmination of this day, medical professionals will be adept at differentiating male and female anatomical landmarks, identifying facial fat pads and danger zones, and determining optimal injection sites.
Beyond these practical skills, students will gain a robust understanding of filler viscosities and how to select the right filler to achieve the desired outcome.
The practical sessions within our state-of-the-art training center in Barrie, ON, underscore IIAM's commitment to an interactive and enriching learning environment.
With hands-on rotations limited to small groups, we guarantee personalized attention, allowing every student to harness their full potential.
