This hands-on introductory course covers PRP and its natural healing processes and growth factors, medical/clinical applications of PRP, aesthetic and facial rejuvenation, and hair restoration. This course will provide interested physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other qualified medical professionals with insights into future applications of PRP, and clinical implementation, including expected costs as well as pricing of your services.

  • Differentiate Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), Plasma Rich in Growth Factor (PRGF) and Platelet Fibrin (PRF).
  • Identify the broad medical indications of PRP and explain the various indications in aesthetic medicine.
  • Explain the mechanism of action for PRP.
  • List the clinical requirements and medical contraindications for PRP.
  • Identify the components of PRP, (PDGF, TGF-ß1, TGF-ß2, FGF, VEGF, PDEGF, PF-4, IGF) and explain the effects of each.
  • Differentiate the different preparation methods for PRP and recognize the clinical consequences of errors in preparation.
  • Select the most appropriate PRP technique for facial rejuvenation and hair restoration. Manage the possible complications of PDP and mitigate risks to the patient.
Practical Training: Facial & Hair Rejuvenation
  • Participant correctly prepares the PRP solution considering the device mechanism in use.
  • Participant selects the correct needle gauges. 
  • Participant accurately landmarks the face and hair region with lines/dots accounting for application technique.
  • Participant injects into the correct skin layer for each procedure, target area and device.
  • Participant determines the correct volume for each procedure and target area of the face.
