Get Glowing
Improve facial complexion, texture and lost volume
Skin is the largest organ of the body which functions to protect us from various external factors. To ensure it stays healthy and glowing, our skin needs to be nourished through aesthetic treatments and proper skincare.
As we age, the fat, muscles, bone, and skin in our face lose volume which can lead to a more gaunt appearance.
At IIAM, our skin health treatments offer a way to regain the dewy complexion you just can't seem to get using at-home skincare products alone.
There are several treatments that promote skin rejuvenation to help maintain or regain a glowy, youthful appearance. Platelet-Rich Plasma (or PRP) and Sculptra are two treatments offered at IIAM.
Whether it's treating texture and sun damage, reducing pore size, diminishing scarring, clearing acne, boosting volume, or stimulating hair regrowth, consult with one of our aesthetic practitioners to discover which treatment is right for you.
What is PRP
What is Sculptra
The difference between them
While indications for using PRP and Sculptra may be similar, they tend to work differently.
Since PRP uses your own blood plasma, it is the most natural treatment for promoting better skin texture, fighting sun damage, stimulating hair restoration, and diminishing scarring. A series of three PRP treatments are recommended, followed by two maintenance sessions a year.
Sculptra, on the other hand, is a powerful stimulant injected into multiple layers of the skin to combat volume loss, promote and boost long-term collagen production, and assist with maintaining skin elasticity. The result is a gradual and subtle effect that lasts several years.
What to Expect
We want your experience with IIAM to feel as comfortable as possible, without any surprises along the way.

Got Questions?
Below are some frequently asked questions that may help ease your mind.
There is some discomfort when administering these treatments under the skin. Some describe it as mild pressure around the treated area. A topical numbing may be used to ease discomfort and ice may be applied post treatment to reduce soreness and swelling.
Mild swelling and bruising are common and you may notice that the area of injection is tender to the touch for a couple of days after your treatment.
Typically after a series of three treatments, PRP results can last anywhere between 6-8 months, while Sculptra lasts 1-2 years depending on the patient's metabolism.
As both PRP and Sculptra are treatments that promote natural changes in the skin, results are often seen 3-6 weeks post-treatment depending on the skin's natural cell cycle.
